With a busy lifestyle and a demanding career, the ARCex Part III examination allows a degree of flexibility not associated with an academic institution.
I found the smaller class much more appealing than a lecture theatre of 50+ students that may be found on other courses. It is a much more personal experience, and I found it much easier to ask questions and discuss various aspects of architecture in an open way, which greatly aided my learning and understanding of the course material.
I found Neil and Lawrence to be very welcoming, knowledgable, approachable and supportive throughout the entire process. Their advice and guidance was invaluable. The course includes a series of lectures with professionals actively involved in their respective fields, and are therefore perfectly suited to provide the most relevant information.
With some hard work, and the support and guidance of ARCex, I found the entire Part III experience enjoyable - even the final interview. I would highly recommend obtaining the Final Examination with ARCex.

Peter Kelly is a Senior Vice President of Marsh Ltd, for whom he has worked for 35 years, 8 of which were spent based in London. He returned in Belfast in 1993 and held a number of roles within the local Marsh office, including 12 years as Head of Office until January 2016.
His focus is now managing a number of the larger Corporate accounts within Belfast, along with driving new business sales.
Peter's specialist area is Professional Indemnity and Directors' & Officers' Liability Insurance.
His extra curricular activities include being Chair of Belfast Harlequins Club and vice Chair of the Ulster Hockey Union.
In the past he has been President of the Belfast Insurance Institute and Chairman of the Northern Ireland Region of the British Insurance Brokers Association and has sat for 5 years on the national board of the British Insurance Brokers Association. He has also been Chair of the Belfast Business in the Community Leadership Team, Chair of the North Belfast Partnership Board, Chair of the North Belfast Development Trust and a board member of Development Trust Northern Ireland.
Peter Kelly

Liam has worked in Belfast Building Control for 33 years. He manages a team of building control surveyors who advise designers, assess plans and inspect works on larger commercial works in Belfast. He sits on the London District Surveyors Association (LDSA) fire safety committee, which is the representative body for Local Authority Building Control in London.
Liam received an MSc in Fire Engineering from the University of Ulster (UUJ) in 2004 and was made a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2011.
He is a visiting lecturer on the Access course and the MSC Fire Engineering course in the UUJ and the architectural course in QUB.
Liam also manages a team who work in partnership with the DSD and NIHEx to provide financial interventions to address the issue of fuel poverty in Belfast.
Liam was the first chair of the RICS Building Control Professional Group in NI and sat on the RICS board in Belfast for several years. He was also a member of the National Committee in London for several years.

My name is Roy Humphries, my qualifications, memberships and experience span a period of over forty years. I have enjoyed a varied and successful career ranging from Mechanical & Production engineering, management, training, teaching and lecturing in both the private and public sectors.
I have really enjoyed teaching and lecturing experience in leadership and management at both Queen’s and the Ulster Universities in Belfast as well as Northern Regional College.
My work experience is varied starting as a production engineer with Rolls Royce here in Belfast and as time went by I have been a Managing Director and a Head Teacher as well as other senior management roles. I take a keen interest in cycling was fortunate to act as the manager/coach of an Olympic Cycling Team at the 1988 games in Seoul, Korea.
For many years I have taught and trained people in the skills of management and leadership both in universities and colleges and as a private consultant. I have always responded enthusiastically to fresh challenges and welcome the opportunity to apply my experience and commitment to any new roles and responsibilities that may come my way.
